The assistant logistics director helps the Logistics Director with setting up and breaking down camp with the goal of becoming a competent logistics director. The assistant logistics director may not leave early as the most difficult part of the set up and move out are at the very end. The assistant logistics director may not come late as the initial planning and execution are important to allowing a timely finish.

Like the logistics director, the assistant logistics director must have good attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
