Role Description
Internal
The assistant director is the right-hand man/woman of the director, their purpose is to remind the director to have fun and take care of themselves, and to assist the director with the details of planning and running of the camp/ program.
The Practicals
- At the camp/ program, it's ideal if the assistant director (AD) is the main emcee (mostly for the evening programs, this is the main function of the AD), and other people can emcee under the guidance of the AD. The director and AD can take turns giving announcements before mealtimes.
- The director, AD, and Song Leader are in charge of keeping the program on schedule (checking in with the kitchen to see if they’re on schedule).
