Struggling through classes and/or work? Need a break? Looking for adventure, challenge and an adrenaline rush? Don’t lose hope, because you're in luck! May 16–18, we will be having an exhilarating adventure! The Shehaqua Spring Gathering! This year there will be an array of engaging activities such as whitewater rafting for families, paintballing for tough strategists, and an open mic for striving artists.
If some of the more adventurous activities aren't quite your cup of tea, no problem! We have an alternative schedule planned for anyone looking for a more relaxing weekend in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. And there will be crafts, sports, discussions, and various other activities to join in.
Prices vary depending on when you sign up and the activities you would like to do. The early bird special will last until Sunday, April 20th, so don't miss it! After the early bird you can still register until Friday, May 2nd for rafting tickets. The cost covers accommodations at Shehaqua, meals prepared by Jeannie Carroll, group activities in the morning and night, and your choice of daytime activities. Click here for pricing details and here to register.
Paintballing tickets are free for those who buy a whitewater rafting ticket. They do not include the cost of the paintballs. Those who only want to do paintballing have two options: You can share a ticket with someone who wants to go rafting (it’s your job to find that person), or you can pay at the door for the paintball ticket and paintballs for yourself.

Well, it is that time of year again... Shehaqua Family Camp Registration is now open! This is Shehaqua Family Camp's 20th anniversary! We are so excited to offer three amazing weeks of Family Camp, as well as our increasingly popular Shehaqua Weekend.
No matter which week you are able to attend, there will be ample opportunities for amazing experiences. Keeping true to the Shehaqua spirit of community, every camper is asked to lend a helping hand in the every-day operations of the camp. The more we all chip in, the more we all enjoy the power of community!
Some special tracks will be available in addition to the family camp experience. Click this link and keep reading for more information about the tracks.

To celebrate our 20th Anniversary, we will reprint the first Shehaqua T-shirt that was ever made (in 1997). The grey T-shirts have the vintage design in forest green on the back, and our 20 Years logo on the front in periwinkle as a breast print. We will also print a navy hoodie (hooded sweatshirt) with the same breast print in gold on the front (no design on the back). Read our last newsletter for more details.
Important: Pre-orders must be placed by April 20!
Our website got a fresh look! Nathaniel Ching, with the assistance of his brother Nolan, spent countless hours developing and fine-tuning the new structure and look. Among other improvements, the new design is responsive—which means you can easily navigate it on your smartphone. And last but not least, the web address now is www.shehaquafamily.org. If you use the old www.live4joy.org address it will still work, but you will be directed to shehaquafamily.org.
Please help us spread the word about Shehaqua Family Camp. We will have a nice double-sided color flyers ready in mid-April, and we would like to send printed copies to anyone willing to hand them out. If you know any Sunday School teachers, please order for them, or send us their email address so that we can contact them about distributing flyers in their class. We need your help to reach out to many new families. Contact [email address redacted].
