Shehaqua Summit 2015

Oct. 9-11
Ocean View, DE

This year the Shehaqua Summit is at a beautiful beach house on the Delaware shore, where volunteers will have time to connect around the vision of Shehaqua, brainstorm, and relax with the folks who've been working hard all year to make Shehaqua happen.

The summit is our annual gathering of the Shehaqua volunteers to rejuvenate, reflect on the last year's activities and plan for the future. The Summit is also open to those who are interested in taking more leadership within the Shehaqua community.

The purpose of the Shehaqua Summit 2015 is to:

  1. Honor the contribution of each person's efforts over the past year and going forward
  2. Reconnect with each other and the heart and mission of Shehaqua
  3. Provide organizational training to the core Shehaqua leadership
  4. Relax, reflect, and renew!
  5. Review the past years programs and walk away with clear action steps for improving Shehaqua programs this next year

Even if you are not attending the Summit, you can be there in spirit by giving us your feedback. Put a note in our suggestion box about what you love, what you don't, and how we can better serve you and your family. We read all comments and use the suggestions to decide some of the things we'll discuss at the Summit.

For those interested in attending, we are always looking for people inspired to get more involved and contribute to the Shehaqua community. There is limited space available at the house (24 beds), and registration spots are on a first come first serve basis, so register soon! As always, it is a family friendly event and we welcome everyone's families. If you're interested in coming, send an email to the Shehaqua Operations Circle Director, Laurel Nakai at [email address redacted] for more information.

The fees are $25 per person or $60 per family.

The meeting will be over by Sunday afternoon, but if anyone wants to extend their vacation (the following Monday is Columbus Day), the house is available Sunday night for anyone who is interested. Those of us staying the extra night will split the cost and enjoy an extra day at the beach!

Thank you for your feedback, and hope to see you there.
