Save the Date for the Shehaqua Summit, October 7–9
Join us over the Columbus Day weekend (Oct. 7–9) at Camp Manatawny (between Reading and Pottstown, PA) at a summit for Shehaqua leadership volunteers to review, learn, share and grow. We have scheduled some very special speakers and topics that we hope will inspire you and allow you to take something back home with you and to continue in the development of Shehaqua.
The purpose of the Shehaqua Summit 2016 is to:
- Honor the contribution of each person’s efforts over the past year and going forward
- Reconnect with each other and the heart and mission of Shehaqua
- Provide organizational training to the core Shehaqua leadership
- Relax, reflect, and renew!
- Review of the past year’s programs and reports will be a minor part
Whether you have been at Shehaqua recently, or a long time ago, this is for you and your family. As a volunteer organization with over 20 years of experience we welcome your participation and are open to new ideas and programs. This is the place where you can invest your talents, vision and enthusiasm.
There will be lots of time for exploring, sharing, enjoying good food and time to connect with each other and God. More information will be coming out in August.
Contact Rob Sayre Robert ([email address redacted]), Sally Sayre ([email address redacted]), or Chris Bush ([email address redacted]) if you have any immediate questions or suggestions.
Save the Date for Harvest Festival, September 17–18
Join us the weekend of Sept. 17–18 at Camp Shehaqua for two days of spiritual inspiration, practical skills and fun with a hoedown (square dancing), music, crafts, food and fun. Beside the programs we have offered in the past, we are preparing a smorgasbord of new activities: readings and discussion on gratitude, jam & jelly making, making the perfect pie, and others.
Join our planning circle consisting of Rob Sayre, Sally Sayre, Chris Bush, Felicitas Moyer and Tasnah Moyer. We welcome your ideas, love and energy. More information to follow in August.
